Jai Shri Krishna, Well here is the answer as stated in Shrimad Bhagwad ( Vani of God) The great demon Hiranyaksa who was slain by the Lord disguised as a boar had a son, UTKACHA by name. He was excedingly powerful and well built. In the course of his peregrinations he once crushed the trees of the hermitage of the sage Lomasa, who pronounced him a curse theat he would henceforth remail disembodied. He felt that his physical sheath was about to fall off like slough. He fell prostrate at the feet of the sage and asked for forgiveness, Appeased by his penitent behaviour, the sage blessed him that in the course of the Vaivaswata Manvantara he would be liberated by the touch of the feet of Lord Shri Krishna. It was UTKACHA that had entered the cart in Nanda's residence in disembodied state and was forthwith liberated by the touch of the Lord's feet.

Jai Shree Krishna Does it mean that Trnavart was UTKACHA. From the description of the story, it seems more like your refering to the story of shakatasura, who entered the cart in his diembodied form, and was intending to weigh down the cart with his bulk, thus crushing Sri Krishna. However, the baby, restless with desire for his mother's milk, kicked up his feet which thereby touched the bottom of the cart. As a result, the various items on top of the cart were knocked over and the cart itself was overturned and shattered. As to the best of my knowldge Trinavarta, a demon who took the form of a whirlwind, as described in the Bhagavata, Book X, Discourse 7, verse 20. The demon caused a dust storm in Vraja, in the midst of which he carried Sri Krishna up to the sky. However, Sri Krishna, who was riding on his back, burdened Trinavarta with his weight and seized him by the throat. Finally, strangled, he perished and fell back to the earth. Please clarify. Jai Shree Krishna Vasant bhai, Also please clarify the following satement made by you in your initial question: Once Kamsa sent demon Trnvarta who was very strong and powerful as whirlwind to destroy Shri Krishna. Seeing Shri Krishna in the cart alone left by his family ..... Form what i have read in the various versions of this story ....while the first part is right, the second part.. that of cart is incorrect....as what is described is that...after the killing of skatasura, once when Yashodaji was feeding Shree Krishna, knowing that trnavarta was on its way, the lord became heavy, so heavy that Yashodaji had to place him on the ground and she left to attend other works leaving gopis to gaurd him....adn when trnavartasura came he became so light that he in his whirlwind form took him away alomost like a piece of grass..... only to be burdened by Shree Krishnas increasing weight and....Sri Krishna, who was riding on his back, burdened Trinavarta with his weight and seized him by the throat. Finally, strangled, he perished and fell back to the earth. Please clarify and my sincere apologies incase of any mistake.

Jai Shree Krishna Dear Vasant Bhai, Also there is mention of one Tripasura, in explantions given by many other scholars, where in they state that when trnavarta fell on the ground and his body was smashed on a rock, he fell like the way tripasura fell when peirced by shiva tirdent. I will be much obliged if you could also be able to clarify this. Jai Shree Krishna. Edited by - shreekant22 on March 04 2004 09:28:35
