Jai Shree Krishna Now for the Sixth Shikshapatra... Shikshapatra 6 Shloks: 15 Subject:Dhiarya Rakshan (Retention of fortitude) and the explanation on what is Pushti, Maryada and Prawah. Highlights: Having described the path to Shree Thakorji in the 5th Shikshapatra. Shree Hariraiji now advises us to be couragious at all times, and face all situations in life, having faith in Shree Thakorji. For He knows what is best for us. Shree Thakorji is param krupalu, and he will take care of all our needs and devine desires. Hence we are advised that even in leading this worldy life, we should never ever leave fortitutde and always follow the path of rightiousness, the path of Dharma. Shree Hariraiji now explains that Shree Thakorji himself has devided Jeevs in to Three Types, they being Pushti Jeevs, Maryada Jeevs and Pravahi Jeevs. Now can someone explain them... The Pushti, Maryada and Pravahi Jeevs. ???? Edited by - shreekant22 on April 01 2005 12:52:50

Jai Shri Krishna, Pushti beings attain Bhagwan's devotion and liberation through the worship and rememberace of Shri Krishna. Maryada beings obtain liberation through Vedic action, knowledge and worship. Whereas the Pravahi (Asuri) beings undrgo birth and death till the very dissolution of the universe. Bhagwan does not grant them devotion or liberation either. Correspoding to these three kinds of beings Bhagwan has also established three paths 1) Path of Pushti 2) Path of Maryada 3) Path of Pravaha So now let one of the vaishnavs describe the three paths in details.

Jai Shree Krishna Good reply. The Prawahis follow the cycle of Life and rebirth. The Maryada Jeevs are formed out Prabhus Vaani, that is the Vedas, hence they are ritualisitc oriented, induging in Daan, tap, Hom/havan, etc. inoder to attain Moksha and The Pushtijeevs are formed from Shree Thakorji Sva, meaning Prabhus Shree Ang. Hence A pushti jeev is also know as Daivi jeev. And they indulge only in Bhakthi, seeking Shree Thakorji himself.

Jai Shri Krishna, Let me start the first one Pushti Bhakti Marg. (Path of Pushti) Pushti as we all know means GRACE An overwhelming grace of Bhagwan through which Pushti beings receive sentiment of devotion and subsequently become capable to perform devotion of Shri KRISHNA without keeping any worldly temptations or desire. Only through the path of devotion one can obtain the Supreme Brahma SHRI KRISHNA and not through the paths of action, knowledge of Upasana. Hence Path OF Pushti is said to be the BEST.

Jai Shree Krishna Well Manish bhai I am refering to ...Pushti Jeevs, Maryada Jeevs and Pravahi Jeevs. Time to move on to the next Shikshapatra... Shikshpatra 7 Shloks: 7 Subject: Renounciation of worldly and Vedic rituals and acceptance and surrender to Shree Thakorji Highlights: Shree Hariraiji now stresses the need to develop ones faith and concentrate on Seva of Shree Thakorji. And to renounce all worldy desires and ones liking/need for Vedic rituals. Further we are advised that Vallabhkul, Shree Yamunaji, Shree Girirajji, The entire Vraj bhoomi, Bhagwad leelas, Seva samagri, Shreemad Bhagwathji and other Granths, Bhagwadiyaas....all these are part of the aloukik, intangible world of Shree Thakorji. One should precieve them in there devine form alone and avoid precieving them to be a part of this physical world. Shree Hariraiji in this Shikshapatra has very clearly highlighted the fact that all our physical actions and duties including living in a family, marraige, etc are all done only keeping in mind Shree Thakorjis Seva, and not for enhancement of personal lifestyles and fullfillment of personal desires.

Jai Shri Krishna, Let me continue with what was left out. Karmamarga The action like sacrifice etc. One should perform scriptual actions by being free from temptation of the fruits that can be had of actions, one should dedicate fruit of action to Bhagvan. Jyana Marga The path of liberation (in the form of union with Aksharbrahma) is being achieved through the means of knowledge shown in scriptures by having detachment and renunciation in all worldly and other worldly matters is called "Path of knowledge" Upasanamarga In this path one takes initiation of the mantra in name of One's favourite God as shown in the scriptures of Tantra. By worshipping a God or Goddess as the Supreme reality through rites of Mantra liberation is achieved this is called Upasana Marga or Maryada Bhakti Marg.
