Jai Shree Krishna Just to add a line on Shreekatnbhais views, All the Devs & Devis resided within the cow, except Laxmiji who then nagged her husband to jump the band wagon, since all of the cow is allocated, the only thing left was Cow Dung, thus the Vas of Laxmiji in it. This what they told me at school in my days, or perhaps it was an interpretation of my school teacher. If incorrect please blame the school teacher. Vinod

Jai Shri Krishna, I am very happy with the above discussions bringing out so much importance of the Cows which proves that service to Cows is beneficial in this earth and beyond ( After Death ). We should all pray for the goodness and long lifes for the cows. Bolo Gow Mata ki Jai. Vallabhadesh Ki Jai. Shriji Bawa Ki Jai.

Swahakaar udder feeds the gods, Swadhakaar feeds the ancestors, Vashatkar feeds Bhuteshwar deities and Hantakaar feeds the human beings. Those who feed a cow with faith attain the fruits of performing an Agnihotri Yagya.
