Jai Shree Krishna Well, Shree Vallabh in Vivek Dhairyashray has given 4 solutions for sufferings.... They are... Tarkavat and Dehavat for Aadhibhautik sufferings, i.e, to tolerate the pains suffered by the Body. Jadvat for Aadhyatmik sufferings, i.e, to sacrifice/forego such thoughts that cause sufferings and the last being Gopbharyavat for Aadhibhautik sufferings, i.e, to offer total surrender to Shree Thakorji and express ones inability to engage in other activities.

Jai Shri Krishna. Thank You once again, If I may, I would like to refresh Reeta ben's posting again and try to translate my understanding into english. This is for two main reasons: 1) When Gujarati/Hindi/Sanskrit, etc are written in english, sometimes i find it difficult to read and pronounce and therefore, i cannot understand all the wordings. Because of this lack of understanding on my part, the message that those wordings tries to convey is lost. So I am just trying to show what little i understand by trying to translate into simpler english. 2) I am not sure if everyone here understands this level of powerful Gujarati, so am hoping to convey the summary of this message for that reason also. -- Under each Gujarati line/sentence will be the rough translation in english. - Please forgive any misunderstandings. Jai shri krishna Sadvivharo nu ghadtar - Vivek. (vaicharik sabhyata) -- cream of the cream of all Good Behaviour is Vivek (or the way of good thinking ?) Shri mahaprabhuji e Vivek dhairyashray granth ma 9 Vivek batavya chhe te svikarvathi budhi bhagvadiya bane chhe. - Shri Mahaprabhuji has described 9 types of Viveks in his granth called Vivek Dhairya Ashray. If one accepts these then their Buddhi (Intellect) becomes divine (Bhagvadiya) 1.Jagat ma sarvatra sarvarupe Shri hari j chhe. -- This this world/creating, Shri Hari is the only one everywhere and in every form 2.Shri hari badhu temani ichha paramane kare chhe. -- Shri Hari does everything according to His own will/wish 3.Swami ane sevak na sambandh no vichar. -- The thought (i guess of differentiating) between Lord/Master (Thakorji?) and the Servant (Us ?) - it would be nice to have some further clarification/elaboration on this. 4.Badhu prabhunu chhe te apava prabhu samarth chhe. -- Everything belongs to Prabhuji (Lord) and He is totally capable of giving it. 5.Hu prabhu ne adhin chhu em samaji abhiman chhodavu. -- One should consder himself/herself as totally dependent on Prabhu(God/Thakorji) and thus discard/giveup Ego (being proud) 6.Prabhu ni koi vishesh agna thay to tenu palan karavu. -- One should (instantly) obey/implement any wish/command that comes from Prabhuji (Thakorji) 7.Asamanya prasango ma hathagrah ke duragrah chhodi prasang pramane vivek thi karva jevu karavu. -- In Special (extraordinary) occassions/events (i guess this means satsang, festivals etc) one behave according to vivek (good behaviour/action by thinking good/moral etc?) and not do anything forceful (in a good or bad way) 8.Bhagvad karya shivay na laukik vedik karyoma duragrah na rakhvo. -- One should not have any attachments towards materialistic (laukik/vedic etc) workings Except in God's (Thakorji's) work (Bhagvad Karya, i guess this could mean taking part in or organising events such as satsang, etc) - more example and explanation would be nice here 9.Darek karyo dharma ane adharma no vichar kari karva. -- Any work undertaken should be done with morality/righteousness in mind. Thus discriminating using the intellect as to what work is righteous and what work is not righteous. Dahirya – Shri mahaprabhuji samjave chhe ke sauthi pahelu kam man ni lagani ane indriyo na aaveg upar ankush rakhvanu chhe. sukh ni pachal pagal thai dodvu nahi. -- Shri Mahaprabhuji is explaining/making us understand that, first and foremost, the work is to control (put an ankush on these/put a stop to these) the desires of the mind and the senses. -- Not to become mad and run after sukh (materialistic happiness) Lagani ane avego ni yatna sahan karavi te dhairya. Saiyam niyam nu palan karta sahan shakti viksavvi. Sahan shakti te dhairya. Dukho sahan karva ni shakti, bhagvan no ashray ane bhagvan mateno samrpanbhav ape chhe. -- Dhairya is to tolerate the pains of these materialistic desires/ unfulfillments and criticisms. -- We get the Strength to maintain disciplines of daily existance by nourishing the feeling (and belief ?) of total surrender to God. Dahirya dradh karva vani, sharir ane man na bhogo chhodva. Indriyo, sharir ane man prabhu ma jodva thi apo aap kabu ma avi jay chhe. -- To fix Dhairya, one should discard/give-up the enjoyments of speech, body and mind (which is done by the senses). By occupying the senses, mind and body in Godly activities they are automatically controlled. (This means one does not have to do hard work, such as various forms of yogic practices) Ashray jiv ne prabhu no ashray prabhu krupa thi male. Ashray means prabu no adhar levo. Ane das bhav thi seva karvi.jem karva thi ashray sidh thay chhe.bahgvan no ashray rakhie tenu nam sharan. Sarvatha sharanam hari ane sarvarthe sharanam hari nu rattan karvu.vaishnave thakorji shivay bija koi nu sevan pan na karvu. Bija pase kashu magvu nahi. -- The jeev/soul/us receives Refuge in Thakorji by His Krupa (mercy/compassion). To take Ashray in God, is to seek His refuge/shelter. And one should perform the seva with the bhaav (feeling) of being a Das (Servant). By doing this our Refuge becomes siddh (confirmed). Keeping/Seeking His refuge is called Sharan (Shelter - Thus we are in his Shelter and then He is responsible for looking after us) -- Always recite Sarvatha Sharanam Hari and Sarvarthe Sharanam Hari Sarvatha - Always Sharanam - Shelter Sarvathe - Everywhere/in all conditions Hari - Lord Hari Vaishnavs should only do seva of Thakorji and no one else. They should not seek (ask for) anything from anyone. Prabhu pase potana svarth mate prarthna karvi nahi. Prarthana karvi hoy to te j karva ni ke mara thi aapanu sarva prakare such bani rahe ane mara adharma no nash thay. Prabhu ma avishvas thi prabhu no ashray chute chhe. Prabhu ma visvash drath bane tyare aapane dukh na sagar ne nidarta thi tari jaiye chhe. Bhagvan no ahsray rakhi ne rahiye to bhagvadprapti jaldi thay chhe. -- One should not seek anything by praying to Thakorji for one's own selfish needs/motives. -- If one wishes to pray then only in this way - By me/my actions Your (Thakorji's) Happiness (Such/Sukh ?) remains established/maintained and any of my misdeeds/wrongful/unrighteous activities be destroyed. -- By not having belief in Prabhu (God), one looses His shelter/refuge. When one's mind becomes fixed on Prabhu (Thakorji), we are able to swim across the ocean of sorrow without any fear. -- When we live our existence by keeping/maintaining God's Refuge, it becomes easy to achieve God. Edited by - anpur on April 18 2005 08:29:35 Re-Edited/Translated into English for personal clarifications. Best Wishes Jagdish Reeta Patel

Jai Shree Krishna Thankyou so much for you effort Jagdish bhai. However, at times, it is important/necessary to use Gujrathi/vrah bhasha words as it is, as it is very difficult to find the exact meaning of the same, especailly off hand. Now to proceed to my query.... However, Our Aashray(absolute surrender to Shree Thakorji) at times goes off balance, which are these situations where in we are about to slip. and hence should be very conscious of teh same.... ???? Jai Shree Krishna There 14 situations when our Aashraay can go off balance, and hence one should be very conscious of the same. They are.... 1. The one to top the list is Dukh. i/e Suffering. This happens when one seeks solutions, here and there, to be rid of the suffering or when one has got releived of his suffering, and hence forgets his dhrudta. 2. When one commits a sin, either consiously or without knowledge of the same. 3. When one is afraid of someone. 4. When our wishes remain unfullfilled 5. When a devotee of Shree Thakorji becomes a drohee 6. When one is on committed to SEVA, SATSANG and BHAKTHI, inspite of having recieved Brahasamband. 7. When we are burdened with sufferable or impossible tasks. At such moments, frustration, doubtfulness, Anger etc. can lead to commiting Anyashray. 8. When one has achieved something and is extremely happy. Surprisingly during such moments, the Joy of having achieved something and the bolstered Ego can also lead to we loosing our balance. 9. When one is Egoisitc 10.In trying to make both ends meet and in trying to meet the demands of family and freinds 11.When one is insulted by the peer group 12.When one is insulted by a devotee of Shree Thakorji 13.When one is insulted by the elders. 14.When we attempt in trying to live up to our imaginations.
