Jai Shri Krishna,Sorry could not resist posting such a beautiful kirtan by Param Bhagwadia Shri Dayarambhai.
Only the name of Shri Thakurji can save us from sorrows and sins and helps them drive away.
Eka durvachana bahuta dinanki priti mitave,
Eka dipa jyon bahuta barasko timira bhajvave,
Eka chinagi jyon agana daru bada ogha udave,
chhuvata parasmani bahuta loha kanchana vhe jave,
Ika va aneka karini bala bhaje nada eka kesari,
Dayanatha eka nama Hari, saba duhkha agha dare hari.
In English,
One harsh word many days' old love ruins and repels
As a single lamp many years, dense dark dispels,
A mere spark of fire explodes gunpowder in big store,
A slight touch of the Parasmani stone turns into gold iron much more,
A single roar of a lion being heard many an elephant runs away,
The only name of Daya's lord keeps sorrows and sins far away.
Easy Translation.
The Devotee poet Shri Dayarambhai is drawing simple but striking illustrations from the common experiences of life.
He shows us the significance of the Name of Shri Thakurji in this poem.
One harsh word is likely to embitter happy relations and ruin long standing love between two persons.
A single lamp by its light removes many years darkness from a house.
Only one spark of fire is enough to blow off a big store of gunpowder.
A slight touch of the precious stone turns lots of iron into gold.
Scared by a single roar of a lion a large number of elephants take to their heels.
In the same way says the poet Shri Dayarambhai only the name of Shri Thakurji can help us keep the sorrows and sins far away from us.
