Jai Shree Krishna
In Sastra Vishay, Shree Sankrachariya, Shree Ramanujachariya, Shree Madhavachariya and Nimbacharya, these are the pre-achariya shree who excepted Veda, Shreemad Geetaji and Brahamsutra as Praman Granth.
During that era (Pre Vallabhachariya era) when ever they had religious debate, then all the arguments were decided taking these three granths into acount.
And I think it was Shreemad Bhagvatji which Mahaprabhuji added. Hope I am right, plz let me know if i am.
Vallabhna charnoma sadainiya dandvat pranam,

Jai Shree Krishna
Yes Gopalji, these fourth granth was introduced by Shree Vallabh. Before Shree Mahapabhuji there were only three granths which were "maniya" and all "nirnay" were based on these three granths. At that time, this set of three granths were known as "PRASTHANTRIYA" granth.
Now after introduction of Shreemad Bhagvatji by Shreemad Vallabhachariyaji, the set of Four Granths, is now known as "Prasthan Chatushtiya".
Shree Vallabh not only made Shreemad Bhagvatji "Prasthan Chatushtiya" but Aapshree had also demostrated that Shreemad Bhagvatji's "Mahta" (Prominancy) with all four vedas. Aapshree in his vachnamrut on this subject ended with saying,"Shreemad Bhagvatji 'Praman Murdhaniya' hai."
What it means that Shreemad Bhagvatji is a Prominant granth as Vedas Sastras.
"MURDHANIYA" means top of the tops or Prominant.
Aapshree's last words were on this debate, " Shreemad Bhagvatji sarva praman sastra mai Shiromani hai."
