Manglacharan

Shree Mahaprabhji did a manglacharan in the begining of "Shree Subodhiniji". How many lines were in this Manglacharan and what was said in each line?

Jai Shree Krishan

Jai Shree Krushna ! According to what i remember in Rameshbhai Parikh's words, there are atleast two shloks in this Mangalacharan of Shree Subodhiniji. They coiside with the last two shloks in our daily Mangalacharan : Namami Hradaye Sheshe, Lila Kshirabdhi Shayini | Lakshmisahastra Lilabhihi, Sevyamanam Kalanidhim|| Approximate translation : I bow down respectfully to the Supreme Lord who is residing blissfully in the heart and Shesh-shayya, in the Kshirabdhi(milk-ocean) of lila, who is served by thousands of Lakshmis' lilas and who is the reservoir of the sixty-four arts. Chaturbhisch Chaturbisch, Chaturbhisch Tribhistatha | Shadbhirbirajate yosou, Panchadha Hradaye Mama || Approximate translation : I bow down respectfully to the Supreme Lord who resides in my heart and is described in five ways in the 10th canto of Shreemad Bhagavat. These are four types in Janma, Tamas and Rajas prakaran each, three types in Satvik prakaran and six types in the last six Gun prakaran. It could be that these are the mangalacharn shloks on 10th canto subodhiniji. Jai Shree Krushna ! Dharmendra

Jai Shree Krishna Shree Dharmendraji has very well answered this question but I was after what pada was after what thought before actual Maglacharan. I think it was not clear in the question but anyway, here is the answer: Shree Mahaprabhuji did Manglacharan in Shree Subodhiniji (this is a granth which explains about Bhagvatji's dwadash skanddh, that is 12th sakndh, (Dwa=two and dash=ten, so total is 12)) did Manglacharan with nine slokas. Here is the simple plain explanation of individual slokas reason: 1. In first sloka Shree Mahaprabhuji describes the Swaroop of Thakorji. This according to Shree Vallabh can only be realised after one has completed bhagvaatji and then do manan . 2.In second sloka, Shree Vallabh wanted the vani of Shree Subodhaniji to become aloukik, He prays to Lord to reside in Shree Subodhaniji. 3.In the third sloka, Shree Vallabhachariyaji, remembers Shree Laxman Bhatt, who was Mahan Tatva Ganani (Schollar),Pavitra (auspicious),Suprashidh (well known in socio-religion sector) and was Gauvravsali (proud to be a Bhrahmin). 4.In fourth sloka Shree Vallabh describes that a "Uttam", "Madhium" and "Heen" adhikari jivu will, after reading Subodhiniji, understand the Bhagvaatji's Kalpvruksha and Veda swaroop. 5.Many schollars have attemted to decipher bhagvaatji and why to do one extra Granth like Subodhaniji? Shree Vallabh answer that in this sloka. Here he is revealing his "DIVIYA" swaroop and makes us understand that as he has authority, and have that backing, he qualifies to justify and understand what Vyasji wrote and what Vyasji felt in his heart whilst writting in Samadhi Bhasa. So with this qualification this Granth has that view point which other tekas cannot clearly justify. 6.In this sloka Shree Vallabh promises that he will explain elements in Bhagvaatji as it is supposed to be understood and he will not take stand like any other teekka that certain elements are not clearly described in Bhagavaatji, so add his own version, this Shree Vallabh said that he will not do, but explain it as it is in Shreemad Bhagvaatji. 7.Shree Vallabha said that above seven sloka will be followed very closely without hindering Shree bhagvaatji's aim and motto. 8.Here Shree Vallabh said that Shree Bhagvaatji is mainly written in three languages, Samadhi Bhasa,Parimat Bhasa and Laukik Bhasa. He will explain the difference. 9.In Subodhiniji teeka, shree Vallabh said He will do "Vakiyarth","Padarth" and "Akshara Arth" and he promises that all schollars will be able gain something aout of this teeka. These were Manglacharan 9 slokas before he recited the Manglacharan which was well explained by Dharmendraji. Daso no das Pushtidas Edited by - pushtidas on October 29 2004 13:57:34
