Jai Shri Krishna,

Can anyone tell when did Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna had to be in the battlefield and fight against each other.

Ofcourse we all should know who won but why was the battle being fought and what were the consequences?

JSK to all, Shree Krishna and Shivji had gone in to battle due to Banasur. His daughter was in love with Shree Krishna's son and had got her maid servant Chitralekha to bring Anirudhh there by her powers. Shree Krishna Came with his army to get Anirudh and there was a great war between Banasur and Shree Krishna, as Banasur was a great devotee of Shiva he Called upon him to help. Shivji also entered the battle against Shree Krishna. This is how the story goes... Any comments are welcome. JSK Anoop

Jai Shri Krishna, You are right Anoopji. Lord Shiva requested Lord Krishna who is the Supreme Lord to forgive Bana and God said I cannot kill Him. But God instead chopped off his 996 hands to kill his pride.
