Many people re cite their mantras and Shri Yamunastak and other shloks while going to work but they have their shoes on while doing so and they do this while driving their cars.

Is this correct method???

Shoes are forbidden in temples.

Jai Shree Krsna, Well I don't think this is not the correct method, butif their bhav is strong n the connection with the god is there then how does it matter. But still wud prefer to do the shlokas while sitting on their desk without shoes n doing work or take of the shoes while driving for a few moments n there is global traffic one can slip into shoes easily n nowadays there are automatic cars so its not difficult. Where there is a will there is a way. Yogini

Dear Vasantbhai, I do agree with the Yogineben, Our marg is pushti marg i.e. Kripa Marg in this marg main thing is Bhav (THings which u r doing that is not important , Important is what is bhavna or thinking behind that). In todays modern world and fast life time we cannot getting much more time i.e applicable for men & women both so that i don't think so that doing stotra paath with wearing shoes is not correct. Bhav is most important in our Pushtimarg, but still like Yoginiben I would also prefer to do shloks without shoes. I think doing of Ashtakshar mantra can be done at all times in all conditions and as a vaishnav we must recite it whenever we breath. Jai Shri Krishna Devanshu

Jai Shree Krishna, In Pushtimarg we should have bhav in us & our bhavna to do the stotra paath should be very high. IF our bhav is shudh we can recite the stotra paath while travelling & also while driving, there is nothing wrong in it. In today's fast world we should see that we can take name of our god as much as possible. As told by Mr. Devanshu Ashtakshar Mantra should be recited in our each & every breath. Chirag

Jai shree Krishna! We have to observe sincereity only while doing "Shree Sarvottam Stotra" as it is very important Stotra of Vaishnav's. Some practice like taking bath, wearing dhoti/saree is neccesary while doing "Shri Sarvottam". But, we can do other path like Shri Yamunashtak, Navrattam, etc.without observing any conduct. But, as rightly said by Yoginiben, Devanshu, Chirag and Jatin, we can do anything provided we do with our "Bhav" and "Love" towrds what we do or reciete. Pushitmarg is a marg which has no Maryada. We can remember our Beloved any time, any where. Ami

Jai Shri Krishna Shri Mahaprabhuji has said in 'NAVRATNAM" Vadadi Raiya Sattam .. This priciple with bhav chanting keeps one away from pap and if one can stop pap to some extent, then in true sense one can assure of chinta kapi na karya. Jai Shree Krishna A.K.OJHA

Dear Vasantbhai & all vaishnav, In my understanding there is not a set rule for write & wrong in pustimarg. Some vaishanav has such a attatechment with their stotra or path that they keep chanting it all the time no matter what, when or where ? & I think that's ok. But Shrimahaprbhuji has given us Astakser mantra to chant at all times. All other stotras & phath is Bhagvad swaroop and should be respected as such. please correct me if I am wrong. Jai Shri Krishna!!

Can we recite the astakshar mantra during sutak or monthly periods? Is it allowed to take charnamrut n prasad during that time. Can we read pushti related books or magzines?

Jai Shree Krishna!!

Jai Jai ShriGokulesh

ShriMahaprabhuji has given us 2 Mantras, 1 had strict rules, that only during Apras can be REcited, and in front of our ShriPrabhu-ShriGurucharan-Acharyaswaroop i.e. Nivedan Mantra (Panchakshar mantra). And Another is Astakshar Mantra, which is free from any rules, but still 1 rule that it should be recited, and not spoken. In any situation, at any places, May be during Death, May be during Monthly cycles, May be during good times, May be during Sutak. This mantra can be REcited (not spoke in group, but individual recitation). NO other granths, pustaks related to Pushtimarg, Purans, Upanishads, Vedas, Gitaji, cannot be done sparsh during the inpure times.

Even ShriCharanamrut is Bhagwad Charnamrut, so cannot be touched.

Ok then what about prasad, should start the day with it, or that's also not allowed.

Jai Shree Krishna!!
