This qestion is regarding the art of doing MALA that we do everyday reciting ashtakshar mantra...

In which two fingers should we hold the mala and rotate it in the index finger and the thumb or the ring finger and thumb...please specify?

JAI JAI SHRI GOKULESH WHILE DOING MALA, RECITING ASHTAKSHAR MANTRA, THE MALA SHOULD BE IN THE RIGHT HAND AND BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND FINGER, DO NOT TOUCH FIRST FINGER, LEAVE MALA ON SECOND LONGEST FINGER AND ROTATE MALA WITH THUMB TOWARDS CHEST SIDE. jai jai shri gokulesh

jai shri krishna, Use middle two finger to hold mala. first and last finger shouldnot touch the mala. when you reach meru change the direction. (meru no manako olangavo nahi, meru no manako aave pachhi mala ultavi nakhavi) Reeta Patel

jay shree krushna while doing mala we should keep mala between the longest finger and ring finger. we should rotate mala with thumb keeping mala on ring finger. the index finger should not be used. and when meru comes the direction of rotation should be reversed.
