Jai Shri Krishna,
If you are in front of Shri Thakorji You should not keep ypour eyes closed.
When you are not in front of Shri thakorji, then you close your eyes and think about the svaroop of shri thakorji in mind. But When you are in front of sri thakorji you look at HIM and pray.

Jai Shri Krishna,
I think we all vaishnavs should read more Shrimad Bhagwat as it clearly informs in chapter 10th The Gopis of vraj were blaiming Brahma the Creator for putting eyelids on the eyes as they did not want to part even one second by keeping them closed as they did not want to miss the site of God or any of His Lilas.
And now in kaljug you maybe right I have seen people in the temple who pray with eyes closed??
I think one should keep his eyes closed only when he is away from God and by doing so he can imagine the closeness with God and visualise His darshans.

Jai Shree Krsna
Thakurji ko apni nazar kabhi nahi lage, as we always put a tiger nail pendant for thakurji n we treat thakurji as our balak in the home so how can a mothers najar be bad for thakurji n by seeing into his eyes we can read the message he is giving us for the day.

How true is this tiger nail pendant concept ?
I have never heard of this. On the contrary keeping in mind the bhavna of using only soft cotton based thread for making even fool malas so that it dose not form an impression/mark on thakorjis shreeang, the Tiger nail bit seems a bit out of place.
