I would like to request you to pass this message to vaishnavs in London / UK that are on your distribution list and at your satsangs.

Asia House in London (near Oxford Circus / Regent's Park) is currently exhibiting rare antique pichois and miniatures from various collections including some from Amit Ambala's.  The exhibition is there till the 4th of April.  http://www.asiahouse.org/net/

Pichois are made in various mediums - paint, embroidery, kalamkari etc, these represent an excellent range of ritual object we vaishnavs often take for granted, but rarely explore.  It is an artistic tradition going back for several centuries and adds to the richness and depth of our "darshan / jakhi" when we are in a haveli.

This is a truly rare opportunity for us to get this close to items that would have hung in havelis and private shrines since the 18th century.  Its the first time Amitbhai has exhibited in UK and his collection is fantastic to say the least.  I am sure some of you have read his book - Krishna as Shrinathji and have seen the colourful items in his collection.  Here is an opportunity to get up close to some of these items.

Subjects covered in the exhibits range from Sanji, Dann, Annakut, Maha Rasa, Janmastami, Vraj Yatra etc.  The miniatures on display give us a glimpse of how pichois are integrated in the seva at Nathadwara.

I would encourge every vaishnav to go and see this wonderful exhibition.
