Jay Shree Krishna,

I had never heard about Ghant Naad, but today I have found out.  Thanks for the explanation.   About the Aarti and why Mukyaji do not bring it out?  The explanation: What is Aarti?  Aarti = Taap,  Je taap gopi jan kept in their heart when they did not see Shree Krishna.  Meaning Vaishnav have to keep taap in their heart for our beloved Shree krishna.  The other name (in pushtimarg) for Aarti is Nirajan.  We as vaishnav do not say word Aarti, (however most of us do not know that word) instead we say Nirajan.

During Mangla Shree Yashoda maiya does Aarti of her lallan, which means she has not seen her son the whole night and by doing aarti she is showing her taap in front of prabhu.  During Rajbhog, gopijan does the aarti, because now they will not get to see prabhu till he comes back home from Gowcharan.  During Bhog Sandhya Gopijan welcomes prabhu by doing aart (one to show taap and second, during his gowcharan, if he any unlucky eyes saw him to get rid off that evil eye (najar Utarvi).  During Sayan now gopijan does aarti to show thier taap that, prabhu now we won't be able to see you till the morning.  What will we do till then.  who knows we might not get a chance to see you in the morning.

Therefore even when mukyji does the aarti to prabhu, vaishnav should not clap thier hand as we do not sing any aarti, just put your hands together as your praying.  I hope this was atleast or close to answering your question.

Jay Shree Krishna.
