I do not see the difference in performing sewa of shree thakurji and that of Gusainji ? They are 2 different forms of the Lord. And in the vartha, due to their extreme desire to perform his seva, Shri Gusianji agrees to it, under the condition that it will be done under extreme privacy. He offers them his seva quoting "Bhaktechay purkay namah", highlighting the fact that God always grants the wishes of his true bhakthas.
As regards to Mahaprabhujis Paduka seva, there may very few instance of this, for the simple reason that Shree Mahaprabhuji during his Prithvi parikrama, walked bare foot, there by sanctifying the earth.

Jai Shri Krishna,
Harshabhen you have put forward a very good question and you are right but please understand the varta 111 these (mother and son) were pusti souls and they understood the swaroop of Shri Gusainji.
We also know that Shri Thakuji is also in the hands of Shri Swaminiji, Shri Yamunaji, Shri Mahaprabhuji, Shri Gusainji and they can even hold our hands and take us to GOD they have that much power and GOD listens to all of them so if you please anyone of them your reward will be GOD.
Only pure Pushti souls can understand that they are all one and the same.
Examples in vartas we read that
Some Bhaktas could not even take Gods name as mantra and He gave them His name as mantra.
These pushti souls (mother and son)wanted to achieve GOD thru Shri Gusainji and hence requested HIS Seva and if you read Namratnakhyastrotram (108 names of Shri Gusainji by Shri Raghunathji)Shri Gusainji was always pleasing his devotees and requested them to do what they felt was correct.
His names were as follows
Bhakt Vashyo,
Bhakt Sundushayo
Bhakt Shokapah
Bhakt Ratanparishak
Bhakt etc etc more then 12 related to bhakt
He was very very kind to all His Bhktas
You must have read his Ashreya ke Pad
Param Krupala Shri Vallabhnandhan ------
By Shri Krishnadas that any bhakta who came under Shri Gusainji He will definitely take him to Shri Goverdhan Nath. He is Param Krupalu.
