Why we have to wash hands(hath khasa karava) when we join our hands(i.e.we do 'naman' with hands)?
If we do not want to wash our hands how we should do naman?

Jai Shree Krushna !
I have also heard from vaishnavs that folding our hands makes 'prasadi' and so we need to wash our hands. But I would like to hear a more authentic answer to this question.

we can do naman in many ways..like by keeping right hand the heart(hruda) & to bend ur head little bit, by doing charan sparsh..the hands become prasadi n not by joining hands...correct me if i am wrong...

Washing hand is External (Bbahhaya) Sudhhi and maintaing internal bhav of karm shuddi as hands are known for doing karma. Sometimes as per conveinence fragrance is also used in "Khhasa karva ma" to to please and do seva also.
If one is not washing hand, he should do naman with bhav of presence of Takorji in the opposite side.
