Shri GopinathPrabhucharan the eldest Lalji of Shri Mahaprabhuji. But we rarely find the place of Shri Gopinathji in pushtimarg. So is Shri Gopinathprabhucharan Pushtimargiya or Maryadamargiya?Jai Jai ShriGokulesh Parivaar, Baroda

Please can anyone spread light on this question, because to any of the vaishnava i had came in touch, always said that Shri Gopinathprabhucharan is Maryadamargiya.

Shri Gopinathji is Pushtimargiya.
Before Shri Mahaprabhuji did Asurvyamoh lila
Aapshri appointed Shri Gopinathji as Tilkayat.
If Sri gopinathji is maryadamargiya then why Sri mahaprabhuji will do That?

Sri gopinathji known as Pratinidhi swaroop in Pushtimarg. and in pratahsmaran we are doing dhyan and shloka of shri Mahaprabhuji, shri Gusaiji and shri Gopinathji.
Sri Vallabha pratinidhi tejo rasi dayarnavam |
Gunatitam guna nidhim sri Gopinatham asraye ||||
How can one say that he is maryadamargiya?

Here are some quotes re Shri Gopinathji.
Our Pujya Shri Purshottamji in one of his texts says
I surrender myself to ShriGopinathji, who is the representative of Shri Mahaprabhuji, who is full of light, an occean of kindness, transcendent and embodied with divine qualities.
Similarly Shri Gusainji praises his elder brother in Mangalacharan as follows
I pay my obeisence to son of Shri Mahaprabhuji, by whose grace all the sorrows of a humble soul disappear.
Also Shri Gopinathji took over the helms of our sect as Acharya. He wrote Sadhandipika a small and sweet treatise comprehending the doctrines of Pushti Bhakti Marg. He insisted on Vedic Dharma alongwith Lord's worship, as do ShriMahaprabhuji.

U r absolutely right Vasantbhai, but today if we ask most of the old aged vaishnavas regarding Shri Gopinathjiprabhucharan, then they always say that Shri Gopinathji to Maryada maa Ghaya.
As they only go through the story that Shri GOpinathji went back to Nityaleela through Shri Jagannathji.
If i'm wrong do correct me. This is what i found mostly in the society.

Also i would like to say this that,
Shri Vallabhacharya left this world and went to his abode when Shri Gopinathaji was twenty. At this small age, too, he shouldered complete responsibility of becoming the head of the Sampradaya.His love for the worship of Bhagavan is quite well known. Since he was trained under the guidance of Shri Vallabhacharya himself there remains nothing to say about his scholarship Since childhood his nature was very calm and always attached with Prabhu seva,pilgrimage and devotional scriputres. He used to visit Sri Jagannathpuri and Vrajbhumi very often. He offered all the wealth obtained during his first travelling to the service of Srinathji. After untimely death of son Shri Purushottamaji, Shri Gopinathaji went for pilgrimage. During this he visited Shri Jagannathapuri. It is said the there he merged into the idol of Shri Jagannathaji while beholding Him. He lived in this world for very few years.

AMADAVAD ma Doshivada ni pol ma SHRINATVARLALJI nu mandir che, there mandir ma SHRIGOPINATHJI DIVA SWAROOPE BIRAJE che. vaishnavs khubaj bhav thi roj darshan & parikrama kare che.
Pushti ma SHRIJI pase kasu mangatu nathi, prantu
ahi vaishnavs Shri Gopinathji pase potani jaruriat/manorathto nivedan kre che & Shri Gopinathprabhucharan te pura pan kre che.
may be that is way some vaishnavs consider Shri Gopinathji as maryada.

I fully agree with anpur and vasantbhai...
When Shri Mahaprabhuji went back to Golokdham Shri was appointed as Tilkayat for Shrinathji... If he was Maryada Margiya than how can Shri Mahaprabhuji will appoint him as a Tilkayat...
Once upon a time Shri Gopinathji has decided he will do daily phat of Shri Bhagwatji(Eighteen Thousand Slokas) than only he will do lunch and he started doing the phat and for completing this it has taken around two three days.
When Shri Mahaprabhuji came to knew about this he thought that if they will do only phat than they can't be able to give the time for Shri Thakorjis seva and other work so he has created "Shri Purshotamsahastra Naam" granth which includes more than thousands of names of Shri thakorjis lila and at the end he has said by doing this you will get phal of Shri Bhagwatjis Phat.
I hope By this prasang you can able decide whether Gopinathji was pushtimargiya or maryada margiya.

Thank u members, for the answers, now i won't feel any doubt regarding this question. Shri Gopinathprabhucharan is the Pushtimargiya Aacharya.
