Jai Shri Krishna.

I would request some Vaishnav to let us know the detailed procedure of Apras that has to be followed before performing Seva.

Regards

Manoj

Jai Shri Krishna

Apras is shortened version of A-Sparsh - this includes the touch of thought as well as by hand, etc...

just as doctors/surgeons wear clean/overcoats and gloves, mask etc so the patients dont get contaminated by germs in their hands, etc..

-- e.g., when in a restaurant (decent quality) you will see waiters, chefs wearing gloves, aprons and head caps, etc.

Shuddhi (cleanliness) is part of sewa so starting from waking up, to having a bath to food-samagri preparations and finally going to bed... throughout the day one would try to keep clean...
