A beautiful topic indeed. I would like to ask  a simple question though in reference to Jiger bhai's mention of shri vitthal kaka: is it OK to recite Yamnashtakam in 'any' state or must we be appropriately placed(like taking a proper seat, bathed etc) , I know that we can recite Ashtakshar mantra anywhichway we are.

          the Vaishnava mentioned by Jigarbhai mentioned reached his height of pushtimarg. But it is the individual's matter. And ShriYamunastakam or ShriSarvottamji recieted only in pure forms. Astakshar Mantra can be recited anytime. So it is true naam Seva. ShriSarvottamji, ShriNamratnakhya Stotra, ShriGokulestakam, ShriYamunastakam, ShriKrishnashray, Aashray r the Naam Seva paaths, and also the other naam-roop-leelatmak granths like shrivallabhastak, shrisphuratkrrishnapremamrut granth, shrivitthalestak, etc.

only ashtakshar mantra can be recited every where

vitthal kaka was firmly establised in mansi and recitation was an in voluntary function

which he had no concisious controll over  like heart beat and breathing it has is  second nature

for us the begginners only  ashtakshar will bo fine

          Jigarbhai, that's exactly what i wanted to say. As this vaishnava had attained the height of pushtimarg. So for him, it is a different thing, and u rightly mentioned that we r beginners, so work according to the orders of shrigurucharan, And for the beginners as shrimahaprabhuji gave aagyna to recite astakshar mantra regularly in all conditions.
