In Chatuh Sloki Shree Vallabh has said:
quote:
Ataha Sarvatma nashaswad, Gokulaswar Padayo Smaranam Bhajanam Chaapi na Tyajaymiti mai mati

That mean according to my understanding when we are at lotus feet of Shree Krishna (Bhagvan)we should recite and sing bhajans as this is "Moxa Purusarth".

Although we sing bhajans but it should be of Prabhu Anusmaran, that is thinking of Lord and his Lilas when singing and one should have "Bhava" in the bhajans and padas and kirtans. To a merchant he only knows "bhav" as price, cost of the goods, material etc., but really the bhav here is not saleable entity in Geet pada and Kirtan to Thakorji. So "bhava" here has no connection with the cost or price tag on any materialistic goods but it is deeply rooted with our heart, our songs, our Padas and our Kirtan and it also is connected to life's feelings. Thus, if the bhava is Human feelings and that feelings then is towards Lord Krishna, then that bhava will sing the praises of Lord Krisna and this will be clearly shown in the songs they sing.

Once in Pandharpur (name of the town) at Shree Vithalnathji's Mandir (Temple), Sant Tukaram was singing his "Abhang" in front of "Panduranga Bhagvaan". At that instance a well known and well prominant Gawaiyo (Singer) came to do darsan and heard Santji singing "Abhang" in his "Gamthi bhasa" and was immensely absorbed in his own world, and looking at Tukaram's immense singing, the Well known Gawaiyo was very irritated and also had a jelousy towards Tukaram and he immediately wrote to Tukaram the following sentences:

"Jaisai Namakbin Khana"
"Taisai 'Taal' bin Gana"

After reading the note Tukaramji put a cross on one word and replaced it with a new word and sent the note back to Gawaiyo and it now read as:

"Jaisai Namak Bin Khana"
"Taisai 'Bhava' bin Gana"
.

And the Gawaiyo looked down with shame and walked away from the Mandir.

We all are very familiar of the prasang of "Rupa Podiyo" who use sing "Sayan" Kirtan in front of Thakorji. His main seva was of a security guard of Mandir and in the evening before starting his duty as a Security Guard, he use to do Kirtan at "Sain" in his husky coarse voice by "podna", the word "podna or pollana" measns sitting down. He always sat down at main dwaar of Mandir and do his Guard duty. Hense people called him "Podiyo" means one who sits at one place without any movements and without being hinderance to darshaniya bhaktas, so he was then became "Rupo Podiyo".One day Govindswami heard Rupo singing his creation of Kirtan and was very upset the way Rupa Podiyo was singing. He scolded Rupo and told him not to sing anymore as his voice is a coarse and "Ghoghro" and Thakorji will not be able to sleep when he listens to your "Baysuro Awaz". So that "sain" Rupo Podiyo did not sing any Kirtan. At late night Thakorji spoke to Shree Gusainji, that He can't sleep because Rupo did not sing, in his singing he has that Bhava which makes me go to sleep, but these days Rupo does not sing to me.When Shree Gusainji asked Rupo Podiyo, Rupo explained the inccident with Govindswami. To this Shree Gusaiji asked Rupo to carry on singing as Thakorji liked his Bhava in his singing and with that bhava Thakorji goes to sleep. And that he will have word with Govindswami and since this vachnamrut Rupo Podiyo started singing Kirtan again.

A true "Bhava" is the heart of all Kirtans and Padas. Not only human beings, but, Shree Goverdhan Nathji also becomes Bhava-vibhore and Krishna-vibhor when anyone sings with Bhava. Remember when Parmanand Dasji was singing "Jiya Ki Sadhi Jiya hi Rahi re",a Virah pada, and when Shree Vallabh heard the pada and Shree Vallabh became "Bhav-Vibhore" and lost all his "Dehasudhi" i.e all physical senses for three days.

Thakorji's seva is also with Bhava and Kirtan seva with Bhava is also a Ful-seva.This way all Asta Sakha used to do darsan as Sakhi at night and then all these darsan was described in their Kiratn and Pada during day time as Sakha Bhava. This way Astasakha used to flow the feelings the bhava of their heart in padas and this laid the Pushti Sangeet Asta Sakha "Bhava Shrusti" at Thakorji's "sanindhiya" (in front of).

Jai Shree Krishna

Thumkihi Thumak Chalat Apanai Rang Gopij na Bali Ayi"
"Liya Uthaye Rizaya Kari Mukh Chumbaan Vadhai"

Further to bhava we all now know many prominant singer/kirtankars who always maintained bhava in their recitement of Kirtans. After first Kirtan by Kumbhandasji, Shree Vallabh established Surdas, Kumbhandas, Parmananddas and Krushnadasji and after that Chitswami,Chaturbhjdas, Govindswamiand Nanddasji were established by Shree Prabhucharan Shree Vithalnathji. They all were designated to sing as per astapore samay that is the eight periods of Shree seva and darshan. It was in 1608 Shree Gusainji established the proper Ashta Sakha mandal and from then onwards the Kirtan per esta-prahar became the foundation of of Kirtan seva in Pushtimarag. When we think of "Bhava" we remember Surdasji who insipte of blindness saw, with his innermost (Aantarchakshu) eyes, in Nandalaya balkrishna being in pulna and Yasodaji was trying to swing palna so that Balkrishna can go to sleep. This motherly love and its bhava darshan was very accurately and with bhava was recited in his pada. The pada was "Jasoda Hari Palnay Zulaway". Kumbhandas depicted his experience(anubhava) of the Lilas of Yugal swaroop and hense he gave a pada of Yugalgeet: "Bani Radha Giridharki Joru" and on the other hand Parmananddasji sang the mahima of ballila by giving us that immortal pada:"Maiyee Mitho Hariju kay Bolna". This way in all the pada, there was 'Chetastat pravanam', which means that these kirtan and padas in Seva brought our "Cheet" mind into seva-bhava and in turn this becomes radai-bhava. It is said that God or Parmatma's words are Bhram words which becomes seva-bhava and that moment in the seva becomes a param anand. This bhava is of individual nature and any sevak can create it within him/herself and this is how Ashta-sakha whatever saw in bhittar and that experience was recreated as ras bhava in Bhavsrusti-kaviyasrusti. Remember the well published Bhaktkavi Surdasji when saw Thakorji "Naagaam" and he quickle sang "Dekho Hari Naangaam Naanga". So this way Vrajlila's padas creations were mainly of Shreemad Bhagvaat's Dasham Skandh Lilas. This lilas were sung by Ashta Sakha, Raskhan,Ashkaran and many more Bhakta poets. All this happened because of Thakorji's Anugraha and in the words of Sagundas "Jo Pay Shree Vallabh Pragat na Hotay Vasundha Rahat Suni" and all this happened because of Shree Vallabh's Pragatiya on Bhutal.
