Jai Shree Krishna Yes. Manoj ji Apras means Shuddhi, Purity, Sanctity. Well, as I understand it, at the basic level is means Shuddi/Purification of ones body before entering in to SEVA. However, in broader sense the Word also means... Purification of ones Mind from all other thoughts, and abolute concentration on SEVA. Purification of ones self form all kinds of ill-feelings, and surrender to the sevya swaroopa. Purification from Ahamta, Mamata and allowing only deenta to exists. Apras is ones step into aloukik, where every thing and anything is aloukik, all have their own bhaavs and all actions are leela sambandhi. Apras also is the period, when one has to be carefull of one actions, vaani and thoughts. For every single moment ought not to even in remotely give shram to Shree Thakorji. AND all actions, vani and thoughts have to be for Shree Thakorjis Sukh, and blissfulness. These are my humble submissions, my apologies if any of them are incorrect or misleading.

Jai Jai ShriGokulesh, Apras previously used to be called as A-sparsh, means should not sparsh anyone else. And later with the apbramsh became apras. As said by shreekantbhai the same Apras means Shuddhi, Purity, Sanctity.

Jai Jai ShriGokulesh Parivaar, Baroda

Jai Shree Krishna This is my view, hope I am correct... Doing SEVA with Bhaav is of utmost importance, but then if our bhaav is strong, then care of apras will come by itself. For Apras is part of this Bhaav only. Certainly we want ensure that our Shree Thakorji is provided utmost sanctity. However, it is seen at many households that in the name of apras, at times there is klesh. Such klesh ought to be avoided. For if we do Klesh when in apras, then too you loose sanctitiy. Also, Having Bhaav, does not entitle us to do what ever we want. Many have this mis-conception that because we worship Shree Thakrojis Baal swaroopa, and do SEVA wtih Baal bhaav, we can do anything. That is not correct. Shree Vallabhkul, very clearly advises us to remain Saavdhaan, while in SEVA, and not to take undue liberties. We have to remember that, we should offer SEVA with bhaav, as per the regulations laid down by Shree Vallabh and prescribed by our Shree Gurudev. However, when Shree Thakorji, starts accepting your SEVA, and starts showings his prassannata, sanu bhaav, and in such a state, as advised by Shree Vallabh... SEVA KRUTIR GURORAGYAN, BADHANAM HARI ITCHAYA. in such a state, one should follow the advise of Shree Thakorji, and even if it means going against the wishes of our Guru, No harm. Hope this clarifies your doubts Neelam ben. Further, I sincerely advice that, if one feels that for what ever reasons, something is being badhak in SEVA, then one should seek guidance regarding the same form his/her own gurudev, and follow the Aagyan.

Jai Shree Krishna At the site www.Pushtimarg.net, the same question has been asked, and the reply given is.... Question: In todays hectic life, aparas becomes a hindrance. Hence, it should not be insisted upon during seva. Our Opinion: According to Shri Mahaprabhuji, all vedic dharmas are required to be performed but as the desh, kaal, karta, karma, mantra, dravya these six dharmas have been almost impossible to perform. Hence, Shri Mahaprabhuji has said that whatever vedic dharmas which includes apras also should be performed as far as possible. i.e. Svadharmacharan shaktya. This is the direction of Shri Mahaprabhuji. It indicates apras has also an essential part in seva in preparing our mind purifying ourself and make the atmosphere favourable for seva. Now, shaktya means everybody has to perform apras according to his ability and circumstance. One should not forget that apras has its own importance in seva.

I also learnt, 1. That when in apras and totally immersed in the seva, even anybody touch will not break your Apras. 2. and same vice verse, when in apras and not immersed in the seva, will be of no use, your seva will not reach. It is same as you told, Bhav is very important.

Jjsg,

To day we do not have bhaav so only we can do bhaavna of Shri Swaminijis(Shri Gopijans). When Prabhu showered with any bhaav than we can have it.

Aparas is most necessity  because it is for us. The meaning of aparas u all know very well. We do not have the proper knowledge of it so we keep away ourselves. But if we come to know the purity, we all will start to believe. See, in which situation we can touch our Aanand priya
Krishna
is called aparas. Aparas of deh is done by snaan , suddha vastra but the aparas of maan is also important. Maan is free from any kaam, krodh, moh, maad, matsar…..Taan maan bhagvat sambandh vagarna bane to apras chovay. Example of vaarta prasang (father-in-law gone to mochhiwade)  When Taan, maan is pure to do bhagvadsambandh is called a-sparsh…aparas.
