Jai Shree Krishna The 41 Shikshapatra authored by Shree Hariraiji, highlight a particualr aspect in each of the Shikshapatra. This is humble attempts in documenting only the very brief information on each of the Shikshapatra. Hope you will share your knowledge and make this a very interesting topic.

Shree Krishnaya Namaha Shree Gopijan Vallabhaya Namaha Sheemad Acharyacharan Kamlebhyo Namaha Shree Guruvenamaha

Shikshaptra 1 No. of Shlokas: 24 Subject: Pushtijeevs Kartavya - Duties of a Pushti being.

Highlights: In this Very first Shikshpatra Shree Hariraiji mentions the 13 duties of a Pushtijeev. Can someone say which are these?

Jai shri krishna to all vallabh na valla, Vaishnav na man mah Ahaamtah, ke jeno arth thai che ke Hun kaik chu avu abhiman, ane Mamtah, ke jeno arth thai che ke aa loukik vastu badhi mari che avu abhiman na rakhvu karna ke te no agrah rakh vathi athvah to loukik vaidik karya ma mun ne asakt kari ne prabhu nu vishsmaran kara ve che. To jyare seva ane darsnadik na bane tyare vaisnave prabhu na viyog ni arti rakhvi, prabhu nu chintan, smaran karvanu chuku nahi,Ane shri thakorji ni seva to mukhya che tem shri hariraijiye bataviyu che jyaa loukik vaidik karyo pan goun che. So shreekantbhai this would be the first duty of vaisnav, where a vaisnav should not get to much involved in loukik, cause too much involvement would only make him forget his duties, as seva is the first duty. Please do correct me if i am wrong. Shri Madanmohanlalji ki jai, Jsk, Hitesh.

Jai Shree Krishna Yes Hitesh bhai, The first duty is.... 1.A vaishnav should not get to much involved in loukik, cause too much involvement would only make him forget his Prime duty, as seva is the first, foremost and prime duty. The other 12 duties are.... 2. Not to use Vaani/speech unnecessarily 3. When in seva, always one should concentrate on the Baav, bhaanas and be engrossed in Leela bhaavs. 4. When not in seva (during anosar) one should experience viprayog and think of Shree Thakorji only 5. One should do SEVA as not only means but also should be the goal itself. 6. Think of Supreior deeds. Realise the fact that once Helath(Body) and wealth which gets utilised in SEVA is rightious one and all other activities and sources of wealth as corrupted. 7. Should be Deen (Humble) 8. Should keep company of those who are truely engrossed in Shree Vallabha 9. Not seek Bliss in worldly as well as Vedic (rituals) elements 10. Should always have unstiltable faith in Shree Mahaprabhuji 11. Should do SEVA of Bhagvadiya Vaishnavs with extreme bhaav 12. One should do SEVA, not as Knowledgable individual but as a Bhakth 13. Should have Pure and undlinching faith in Shree Vallabh, Shree thakorji and Bhagvadiyas.

Jai Shree Krishna Vaishnavs, the intention here is not to hurt anyone. My apologies if it is so. This information is not said by me, but By Shree Hariraiji. His vaani is only been humbly submitted by me, for all of us to Read, Reconcile and follow.

Jai Shri Krishna A person is benevolent towards another person, that is humanity. When a person is benevolent towards one who HARMS him, that is greatness. To protect a small living organism is to be a "VAISHNAV"

Jai Shree Krishna Very good expression of Thoughts Amitji. Yes, to be kind and protect even a small living organism is Vaishnavta. Now for the second Shikshapatra.... Shikshapatra 2 Shloks: 20 Subject: In this Shikshpatra, Shree Hariraiji beautifully describes the Baal swaroopa(Child form) of Shree Thakorji and explains ways of Nirodh Sidhi Highlights: In the first Shikshapatra, Vaishnavs are advised to do SEVA, and when not in SEVA, to do Satsang and Smaran. Now SEVA should be done of whom ? In Reply to this, Shree Hariraiji illustrates the Swaroopa of Shree Yashodatsanglalit, Shree Nandanandan, Shree Thakorji in the form of Baal Swaroop, the sevya swaroopa of all Pushtijeevs. In doing so, the various leelas and Shrungaar are Highlighted too. Like in Shreemad Bhagwatji, where in the 12 Skands form the complete form of Shree Thakorji, Shree Govardhannathji, Shreenathjis 12 Body parts. In this Shikshapatra, The first Tweleve Shloks Describe the pushitmargiya swaroop of Shree Thakorji. The 6 shlokas after that, 13th to 18th describe the Six Qualities of God... Aishvarya, virya, Yash, Shree, Gyaan and Vairagya. The 19th Shlok Hightlights the need to do bhagwad smaran and the 20th Shlok explains the fact about the means and the Goal(Fruit) both being SEVA, and SEVA alone. Through this 20 shlokas one achievs Nirodha, that is one learns to contro the mind, by which the soul becomes detached from the world and is attached to the God. The NIRODH LAKSHANA by Shree Vallabh too has 20 shlokas in the granth. And Nirodh leela is the Most important of Leelas in Shreemad Bhagwathji.

Jai Shree Krishna Yes. Gopal bhai, there are many more such books available. And they are a very good refrence source for us to keep refering. It is this habit that made me see the importance of a ready reckoner, and hence decided to provide one at Pushitkul, that of the Shikshapatras. Hope it is useful. Now for the next Shikshapatra... Shikshpatra 3 Shloks: 16 Subject: Dusangh ane Satsang (Bad and Good company) Highlights: Well having advised about Nirodh Sidhi in the previous patra, here Shree Hariraiji queries and answers... what heppens when one inspite of doing SEVA and SMARAN, somehow has not totally surrendered? The blssifull alaukikness is not realised. Why? We are warned that all around us is Bad and evil company, and this even if acknowledged for a moment, can drain one off his Godliness and dharma. Hence one should always protect oneself and his SEVA from such forces and only keep the company of Devine souls. And what is Bad Company? One who thinks in contradiction to Shree Mahaprabhujis Vaani, and indulges in Worldly gossip, such a person can be said to be Bad company. And one who always talks about Shree Krishna, thinks of him and is ever invloved in his thoughts, in utter self-lessness. Such a beings company is worthwhile. This judgement of Good and bad company is very important for all Vasihnavs, and only with this yradstick can we judge anyone, whoever he may be, be it someone from the same Marg, or Different Marg or for that matter a follower of Vallabhkul.

Jai Shree Krishna The Next Shikshapatra... Shikshapatra 4 Shloks: 30 Subject: Shree Thakorjis Virudhdharmashray and Shranagathi Highlights: In this shikshapatra, Shree Hariraiji makes us understand Shree Thakorjis exclusive capability and ability to present himself in Virudhdharmashray forms. This is possible only by him, and him alone. And through this great leela of Shree Thakorji we understand his Universal and supernatural form. Through this realisation, Shree Hariraiji advises us to accept and offer absolute surrender to the Supreme form of Shree Thakorji, Shree Krishna. Further the Five different dharmas mentioned in the various Shrutis are described... They being.... 1. Krutatva, 2.Sarvaroopatva 3.Sarodharak 4.Vyapatva and 5.Virudhdharmashraya And Shree Thakorjis very own dharama described in Shreemad Bhagwat are... 1. Aishwarya - Which is expereinced by the Maryada bhakthas and 2. Madhurya - Which means Love - Which is expereinced by the Pushtibhakthas. The Various Virudhdharmashrays of Shree Thakorji described by Shree Hariraiji in this topic, have been discussed earlier and the link for the same is... http://www.pushtikul.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1170&FORUM_ID=1&CAT_ID=7&Topic_Title=Virudhadharmashray&Forum_Title=%3Cb%3EDisscuss+it+all%2E+%3C%2Fb%3E

Jai Shree Krishna The Next Shikshapatra... Shikshapatra 5 Shloks: 10 Subject: Viraha na anoobhav dwara Bhagwadkrupa ane dianya prapti (To achieve Humbleness and Shree thakorjis blessings by expereincing extreme longing in separation of Shree Thakorji) Highlights: Having said about Shree Thakorjis bewildering form, and advised to seek him and him alone, now Shree Haririaji takes us a step further and explains that Shree Thakorji can be sought only through the pain one feels in his separation, only through humility and humble behaviour. And in order to experience such separtion, he advises us to read and cherish the various kirtans, stories etc, sung/said/written by the many devine souls of Pushitmarag. Furhter, we are guided inot understanding the fact that, such pangs of separation can be felt only if one is humble in his behaviour. And how does one become humble ? For this one should have the urge and feel the pangs of such a need. And how does one reach such a state? Such state can be reached only if one has surrendered himself totally to the devine feet of Shree Mahaprabhu Shree Vallabh. Surrender by all means, by Heart, by thoughts and by actions. Only he is beneovalent enough to guide us to such a state of extreme separation. He alone can bless us with humbleness and other such gracefull qualities. Hence, the main element is surrender on onesself to Shree Vallabh, through it one gains Humbleness, humbleness leads to pangs of separation and this in turn makes one seek Shree Thakorji. Shree Hariraiji, in this patra, very clearly highlights a very important message to all Vaishnavs....and that is.... In pushtimarag, It is most important for one to feel the pangs of separation from Shree Thakorji. The more one feels them, the nearer he is to God. And one who does not feel such a separation, is yet to realise God.
