Jai Shri Krishna, Sanyasnirnay was composed for ascetic name Narhari by Shri Mahaprabhuji when Shri Vallabh was on pilgrimage to Badrikasrama. Narhari approached Shri Vallabh and prayed Your Holiness formerely I pursued the path of renunciation thereafter I owned the Path of Piety by Your Grace. I know the ways and customs of renunciation but I am ignorant about those of the Path of Piety (Bhakti Marg)please enlighten me. Hence Shri Acaryaji spoke that He would relate to him the ascetic (the ways) and customs of renunciation under the Path of Piety. Thus Shri Acaryaji wrote Sanyasnirnay for him. Vasant

Jai Shri Krishna, Sevafalam this was composed in the native village near AGRA. When Shri Vallabh came to banks of holy river Yamunaji asked Vishnu Das to dip in the holy river and gave him the secret eight letter mantra along with the initiation. After this Vishnu Das prayed Your Holiness I am ignorant please be kind and enable me to have some knowledge of Shrimad Bhagwat and Your Holy treatises so that I may become versant with the tenets of your Path (Pushti Marg the Path of Grace) Thereupon Shri Acaryaji composed the Holy treatise SEVAFALAM and recited to Shri Vishnu Das.
