JSK,

Holi is one of the most colourful festivals in the Hindu calendar.  It is celebrated with great gusto throughout North India.  Holi heralds the peak of Indian spring as bright orange flowers of the “Flame of the forest” colour the hillsides, Mangoes start to form and the weather becomes noticeably hot.

Pushti Marg temples start to celebrate the festival from Vasant Panchami, playing holi with their Thakorji for a full 40 days !  http://www.pushti-marg.net/festival.htm

Holi confirms the staunch faith of Prahalada, marking the conquest of good over evil as Holika was burned to death and Hiranyakashyapu was killed on the doorstep of his own palace.  Countless faithful, patriotic Hindus have died rather than convert or betray their nation so that we can play holi with abil and gulal.  We must thank them for their sacrifices when we celebrate holi.  http://www.pushti-marg.net/holi-reason.htm

Holi in Vraj at Barsana, Nandgao, Vrindavan and Mathur can be seen by visiting the links at the bottom of this page.  http://www.pushti-marg.net/downloads.htm#Puja%20videos
