RESPECTING RELIGIOUS BOOKS


1. One should maintain respect for religious books in every way.

2. One should not touch religious books with the feet.

3. One should not put religious books in a place where food is taken or any such other impure place.

4. While keeping a religious book down, it should be put down gently and carefully in an appropriate place. It should not be tossed or dropped disrespectfully.

5. One should not touch a religious book with an impure hand.

6. One should not read religious books while eating, while in a reclining position, while wearing shoes, without bathing after going to the toilet, during sutak, during monthly period or in any other impure state.These books
embody the actual form of Thakurji and His Lila and should be respected accordingly.

7. Religious books should be read in a pure state revering them to be Thakurji's own form. They should be read as much as possible, carefully without rushing and with sincere inquisitiveness.

8. Considering them to be our valuable wealth religious books should be preserved with appropriate care.
